Sesame Sloppy Joes:
1 tbsp (15 mL) canola oil
1 pkg (340 g) Yves Veggie Cuisine® Ground Round
1 stalk celery, diced
1 carrot, diced
1 small red pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp (15 mL) minced fresh ginger
3/4 cup (175 mL) Imagine® Organic Vegetable Broth
1/2 cup (125 mL) hoisin sauce
2 tbsp (30 mL) sesame oil
2 tbsp (30 mL) soy sauce
1 tbsp (15 mL) sriracha hot sauce
1 tbsp (15 mL) honey
2 green onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp (30 mL) toasted sesame seeds
Slaw:
2 cups (500 mL) shredded coleslaw mix
2 tbsp (30 mL) rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp (15 mL) canola oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp (2 mL) each brown sugar and salt
2 tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped fresh cilantro
6 buns, toasted
1. Sesame Sloppy Joes: Heat oil in large skillet set over medium-high heat; cook Yves Veggie Cuisine® Ground Round, celery, carrot, red pepper, garlic and ginger for 3 to 5 minutes or until ground round starts to brown and vegetables start to soften. Stir in Imagine® Organic Vegetable Broth, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, sriracha and honey; bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium; simmer for 10 to 12 minutes or until thickened. Stir in green onions and sesame seeds.
2. Slaw: Meanwhile, toss together coleslaw mix, rice wine vinegar, oil, garlic, brown sugar and salt. Stir in cilantro. Let stand for 10 minutes.
3. Sandwich Sloppy Joe mixture and slaw in buns.
Add 1 finely chopped fresh Thai chili pepper for a spicy slaw.
